Preserving the Art
Each Son of Tyranny garment is a one-of-a-kind fusion of vintage Levi’s Japanese selvedge denim and historic Italian tapestry textiles. These aren't just clothes; they are handcrafted artifacts designed to age with character. Proper care ensures your investment remains as striking as the day it was made while respecting the sustainable journey of upcycled materials.
Longevity is the ultimate expression of luxury. Through mindful maintenance, you honor the artisanal craftsmanship and the history woven into every thread.
The Golden Rules
Wash Less
The best way to preserve upcycled denim is to avoid excessive washing. Airing out your garment between wears keeps the fibers strong and the fit perfect.
Spot Clean
Address small stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap. This targets the mess without subjecting the entire piece to stress.
Air Dry Only
Never use a tumble dryer. Heat can ruin tapestry fibers and cause denim to shrink. Flat dry or hang in the shade for a long life.
ETERNAL WEAR
To maintain the structural integrity of your upcycled garments, store them in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight. We recommend using heavy, wide-shouldered hangers for tapestry jackets and jeans to prevent stretching, or folding denim pieces to preserve their original silhouette. For long-term protection, utilize cedar blocks or breathable cotton garment bags, which shield delicate fibers while allowing the textile to breathe, ensuring your piece remains a cherished work of wearable art for generations.
